Venue Update 07.07.2020

Hello to all members,

By now you would be aware of the Victorian Government announcements regarding stage 3 lockdowns taking affect from 11.59pm tomorrow.

Mindful of this, the club will be opening for DINNER ONLY tomorrow night from 5pm and close at 9pm sharp. Alcohol will only be served along with main meals purchased, per person.

Visitors will not be allowed unless accompanied by a member, and no walk ins will be accepted. Bookings can be made on 97486699 from 10am tomorrow morning.

Thank you to all who have supported us over the last few weeks by attending the club, and we look forward to the day we can get back to business.

Venue Update 2.7.20

Dear Members,

I trust you; your family and friends are safe and well.

As you would be aware, we have re-opened, albeit with the following restrictions.

  • 20 patrons per enclosed space
  • Groups of 6 people can dine together (HCSC policy)
  • Tables must continue to be spaced 1.5mtrs apart
  • Alcohol can be served without a meal, but you must be seated
  • TAB/Keno facilities inside licensed premises may open, but with new safety procedures in place
  • Limits will comply to density requirements, with a single space per four sq mtrs

After consultation with the board, we have added some new criteria, applicable from Friday July 3rd and remain in force until at least July 29th.

  • Visitors may only enter if accompanied by a member.
  • Our new sign-in system will be to pick up the suburbs and postcodes below.
  • To protect our members, guests, and staff we will politely decline your entry to the club if you reside in one of the postcodes or suburbs below. We appreciate your understanding.
  • **All Visitors will be required to show identification before entering the club**

Venue Update 29.06.20

Good afternoon members.

Just a quick update on our temporary trading hours. They are:

  • Mon/Tues – CLOSED
  • Wed/Thurs – 12 – 9 pm
  • Friday 11 – 10 pm
  • Sat 11 – 8 pm
  • Sun 12 – 6 pm
  • Bistro dinner Wed/Friday 5.30 – 9 pm
  • Bistro lunch Fri & Sat 12 – 2.30 pm
  • TAB open until last Melbourne day races.

We will update these hours along with any more easing of restrictions that may occur in the near future.

Venue Update – 22.06.2020

Good afternoon members.

As advised on Saturday, we have had to revise our business strategies due to the alteration of easing restrictions by the state government. I’m happy to say that we will be reopening this Wednesday under temporary trading hours.

They are:

  • Monday & Tuesday – closed
  • Wed & Thursday – 12 – 9 pm
  • Friday – 11 – 10 pm
  • Saturday – 11 – 8 pm
  • Sunday – 12 – 6 pm

The TAB will be open on these days until last race Melbourne.A maximum of 20 people per enclosed area remains. We will keep you up to date as things progress.

Venue Update 18.6.2020

Dear Members,

I trust you; your family and friends are safe and well.

As you may be aware, we are able to re-open, (albeit still with restrictions), as of Monday June 22nd.We will be able to offer most facilities to our members except for gaming. Unfortunately, this will have to wait until July 20th at this stage.As of this Monday, you will be to attend the club and catch up with your friends for a drink or two, without too many new limitations.

The new restrictions are basically:
• 50 patrons per enclosed space
• Groups of 20 people can dine together
• Tables must continue to be spaced 1.5mtrs apart
• Alcohol can be served without a meal, but you must be seated
• TAB/Keno facilities inside licensed premises may open, but with new safety procedures in place
• Limits will comply to density requirements, with a single space per four sq mtrsWhat actions will you need to take when visiting the club to assist in member & staff safety?
• If you are unwell, or feel unwell, you should stay at home
• Provide your contact details on arrival to assist should contact tracing be required
• Sanitise your hands on arrival and when leaving
• Do not share cutlery, plates, or glasses
• Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
• Pay via contactless method, like EFTPOS when possible
• Be aware of maintaining your physical distance

The temporary trading hours from Monday will be:
• Sunday – Tuesday 10am – 8pm
• Wednesday – Saturday 10am – 10pm

The management, staff and Board of Directors have completed basic COVID – 19 training as published by the Victorian Government.My management team, myself and the Club President, Simon Giles, have completed the more stringent “Operating a hospitality business in a COVID – 19 environment” training module issued by the Victorian Government.

We have implemented strict cleaning protocols, including cleaning logs in all high traffic areas.A dedicated “COVID response officer” has been appointed, and is responsible for both members and staff COVID compliance.In closing, these restrictions are a work in progress, but please feel comfortable knowing that all of us are fully COVID compliant trained, and regularly updated with any insights or new information by the Federal and State authorities.Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Bistro Re-Open Update 30/05/20

Dear members,

As we near the  re-opening of our bistro to dine-in customers from 3 June, with the maximum time allowed for each session being two hours, we are taking a “walk before you can run” attitude regarding the reopening to enable staff and members to acclimatise to the “new normal”.

The bistro will be trading from this coming week with the following sessions:

  • 5 – 7pm and 7.15 – 9.15pm on Wednesday & Thursday. (no variations)
  • 12 – 2pm, 5 – 7pm and 7.15 – 9.15pm on Fridays. (no variations)

Bookings procedures:

  • Phone only (9748 6699) from 10am Monday 1 June.
  • MEMBERS ONLY in weeks 1 & 2 (sorry, no guests)
  • Tables of 1, 2, 3 or 4 only in week 1 (no variations)
  • NO walk ins will be accepted until further notice

We will be able to cater for up to 20 patrons at any given time, in each divided space we have, as long as we comply with density requirements (one person per four square metres), and there are careful controls in place for shared spaces, e.g. foyers and bathrooms. Table spacing (allowing 1.5 metres) will also be enforced.

  • All patrons wishing to attend the venue MUST be having a meal
  • NO snack meals or specials will be on offer
  • ALL patrons are to provide their Full Name and Contact Number when attending the venue (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • Full table service will apply for food & beverage
  • The TAB, social bar area and gaming room remain closed
  • We would prefer contactless payment where possible, but cash payments will be taken.

The staff have been through several information sessions, including COVID-19 physical distancing and hygiene practicing training. Every “session” will have a designated COVID-19 Response Officer (or similar) to oversee the implementation of the venue’s  (COVID-19) plan.

We have introduced several key actions, including:

  • Recording patron contact details
  • Safety & hygiene measures are in place
  • Deep cleaning of the premises daily
  • Ensure physical distancing and adhere to the density quotient of 1 patron per 4 sqm of floor space
  • Staff complete the Victorian Government online COVID-19 training
  • Signage at key points throughout the club regarding room capacity, cleaning procedures and physical distancing.

As you are aware, there are changes to the rules on almost a daily basis, but the staff and myself remain resolute in offering a safe & clean environment on each and every visit you have to our great club.

Dear members,

We trust you enjoyed Easter as best you could complying with Social Distancing & Stay at Home rules.  Whilst the current situation prohibits us getting together at the Sports Club, we are introducing virtual member draws to be held each Wednesday & Friday at 7pm for $100 each night commencing Wednesday 22nd April.  Keep an eye on social media/text messages for all terms, conditions & rules and how you can participate.  Additionally, you may have seen a CUB Promotion “For the love of your local”, where CUB will provide a free beer for each one purchased.  We’re still waiting on details from CUB as to how you partake and will advertise on our social media channels once received.

For those who are exercising to maintain or improve fitness levels and choosing to do so at the Sports Club, be aware Wyndham Council has closed both ovals to the public (signage is on both ovals).  Utilising the ovals to exercise could be deemed to  be a breach of government policy and subject to the $1600 fine.

Hello to all of our loyal members,

HCSC looks forward to continuing our community & sporting programmes as soon a s possible, and hope you all stay home and stay safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Choc-o-block promotion = cancelled

Unfortunately due to the closure of the venue, we have had to cancel our ‘Choc-o-block’ Easter promotion.

All Easter hamper prizes are being donated to the Royal Childrens Hospital.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – 22/03/20

With the announcement of restrictions made by the Prime Minister tonight, the club will be closed until further notice from 11pm tonight, Sunday March 22nd. We will be giving regular updates as they come to hand. Thank you for your support during these challenging times.

Coronavirus Update – 21/03/20

Dear members,

The Coronavirus is significantly impacting on how people socialise. Yesterday the club implemented a capacity strategy based upon information provided at that time, which was then adhered to by staff resulting in some members being unable to enter until the capacity had decreased. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has since issued further information clarifying the 100 people in a zone rule. Due to the requirement to keep social distancing, we are complying with no more than 1 person every 4 square metres, with members & guests maintaining a physical healthy distance between each other of 1.5 metres. This results in a revised venue capacity of 116.

Our staff will continue to be vigilant in ensuring we as a venue comply with the capacity restrictions.

We are working with the regulatory bodies and our business partners to ensure guidelines and workplace legislation’s are complied with in these extraordinary times.

The HCSC is committed to providing a positive social experience and the heath & safety of both Members & staff is paramount.
 
Given this situation is extremely fluid, we will keep you informed with regular updates as they occur.

Coronavirus update – 15/03/2020

 

Dear Members &.Guests

As you would be aware, significant concern remains about the spread and potential spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the implications that this might hold.

For members who have planned trips overseas, it should be noted that the Government has recommended against travelling to mainland China, Iran, South Korea at the current time. With the virus now spreading through other countries in Europe and Asia, each family w

ill need to consider the risk factors for themselves and any potential quarantine situation that may arise.

For those who experience flu-like symptoms AND have recently travelled to affected regions, or had close contact with a confirmed case please seek medical advice. The DHHS advise to call ahead to notify the medical practitioner of symptoms and or recent travel or exposure.

Staff, member and visitor safety is of the utmost importance, so we ask anyone who is symptomatic or been in contact with a symptomatic person, to refrain from coming to the club at this time.

We ask that you please reinforce to family and friends the importance of practising good hand and respiratory hygiene as outlined below:

• Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer.
• Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.

Western Region Football League Seniors Fixture

The Western Region Football League has released the 2018 Senior Men’s fixtures, with the season scheduled to kick-off on April 14.

The Division 1 competition will remain a 10-team competition next season, while Divisions 2 and 3 will each have eight teams competing for premiership glory.
