Steve was a long term club person and committee member who also served as president for six seasons from 2008-2014.Steve was inducted as a HCCC Life Member in 2014.

Steve was also a director on the Hoppers Crossing Sports Club board for six years from 2007 to 2013.The McNamara family had a massive impact on our club for many years and have immensely helped shape the club as we know it.

Our deepest condolences and thoughts are with Josie, John and Daniel in this difficult time. RIP Steve

Hi all,

The Victorian Health Minister has made some announcements about easing of restrictions. You’ll see from the excerpt below that the rules for hospitality are NOT changing at this point. This means that we must continue to wear masks whilst serving and patrons MUST show their vaccination status.

“The mandatory vaccination requirement will be removed for all customers in retail, except hair and beauty services, and will also be removed in real estate, places of worship, weddings and funerals. Mask settings in retail remain unchanged.Under the pandemic orders, restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs are still only open to fully vaccinated patrons andstaff. Workers are required to wear masks.”

Cheers,

George

Venue Update – 18th of October 2021

Good morning members,

We have been advised this morning that the roadmap we thought would be in place, is in actual fact not accurate. Taking this into consideration, unfortunately we will not be reopening until Melbourne Metro is at 16+ 80% fully vaccinated. According to reports, this should be achieved on or about November 1st. At that stage all areas of the club will be made available to you, our loyal members. I will keep you updated as we get more information.

Stay safe and take care.

Venue Update – October 17th 2021

Good afternoon all,
Finally some good news. The bottom line to today’s announcement is that we can reopen this coming Friday. I have already spoken to industry associates in regional Victoria along with our President Simon, and can confirm that we will trade from this coming Friday, albeit in a very restricted environment. In accordance with the lifting of restrictions, only fully vaccinated people will be allowed on premise and all of my staff will be compliant to the PHO’s guidelines.
I am meeting with key staff early next week to plan a strategy and will advise our loyal members accordingly. We will be utilising both indoor & outdoor solutions to get us through to the next stage of the roadmap scheduled for early November at this stage.
Take care & stay safe
